You have every right in the world to ask what he/she is doing on an ipad while you are in the room. In fact, and I do wear tin foil trilby, I wouldn't even continue until I knew and also why! GPs have guidelines about not rudely tapping away on a keyboard and not looking at the patient, the screen is supposed to be angled so you can see it. You have a right to look at your written records, 3rd party stuff removed, and this applies to electronic records too.
I saw one entry in someones record once, left lying about which I pointed out, after taking a butchers of course, a GP had written "partner of lying bastard, do not believe him or her!" Very subjective I'm sure.
